Purpose of this list
This list of pension schemes have notified HMRC they meet the conditions to be a Qualifying Recognised
Overseas Pension Scheme (QROPS) and have the HMRC to be publicly listed.
This list is based on information provided to HMRC by non-UK schemes when they notify HMRC they meet the
conditions to be a QROPS.
Publication on the list should not be seen as confirmation by HMRC that it has verified all
of the information supplied by the scheme in its notification.
The purpose of this list is merely to help UK registered pension schemes carry out their due diligence when transferring pension savingsto another pension scheme that is not a registered pension scheme. The list is not to be taken as a recommendation for a particular scheme or product.
Nor should it be taken that any scheme featured onthe list is approved or backed by HMRC.
See http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/manuals/rpsmmanual/RPSM13104090.htm#IDAAGQMGfor more guidance on this list.
Absence of a scheme name from the list should not be seen as a statement of scheme status.
Some schemes choose to opt out of this public listing even though they may have notified HMRC of their status.
Pension schemes also have 30 days to inform HMRC they no longer meet the conditions to be a QROPS and that
they need to come off the list. The conditions have changed over time so schemes need to ensure that they continue
to meet the conditions to be a QROPS.
If you have any doubts that a pension scheme that is listed meets, or continues to meet the conditions to be a
QROPS, you should check with the scheme manager of the relevant pension scheme.
HMRC cannot provide assurances of QROPS status.
HMRC may also temporarily remove a scheme from this list in certain circumstances while it carries out a review.
Such removal will not necessarily mean that the scheme has been excluded from being a QROPS by HMRC - but the
scheme will be removed from the published list until HMRC has completed its review.
The list will be updated twice a month (if there are any changes to the previous list).
